Artist's Description

This hair clip (barrette) was made from an Atlantic Ribbed Mussel Shell, that had been filled with epoxy resin. Copper legs, antenna (black craft wire) and a barrette clip was embedded in the resin. The legs were then "feathered"to present that "roach" look.
And then, finally, it was painted, stained and sealed.
