It has been made using by combining personally scavenged natural matter.
Matter that has been discarded by Nature and dismissed by Man
About Roger Swezey
The first half of my eighty plus years were spent in the field of architecture working on the design and construction of some of the more notable structures in this country. A prime example would be the Metropolitan Opera House. In the mid-seventies I changed my life's course, by devoting it to my first love- Sculpture. Initially my work was only on one topic. That being vultures. All the pieces were made from personally scavenged natural matter. I have never been to New York & have a hard time picturing a vulture there of all places. Your textures invite exploration and lend such life to the environment you portray. These creatures have a pre-historic look to them and seem out of place in such a developed community. Kudos to you for acknowledging their place in our culture...a true respect for their silent contribution.
